Diagnosis and management of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (POTS) Syndrome in Primary Care
The course has been developed by the Australian POTS Foundation (APF) for primary health care providers and covers the diagnosis and management of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is the most common type of autonomic nervous system disorder, associated with significant disability and with increasing prevalence following the COVID-19 pandemic. The wide range of non-specific symptoms can overlap with other conditions, leading to misdiagnosis and suboptimal treatment for patients, particularly young women. General practitioners and other primary health care professionals are ideally positioned to play a pivotal role in the early recognition, investigation, and management of POTS.
Take this course to learn practical tools and strategies to help identify and manage POTS with confidence, ensuring patients receive timely and effective care.
